| DIRECTIONS
FOR USE: 1 -
Attach a chain or rope to the Roll Puller.
2 - Insert the Roll
Puller into 3 1/2" - 4 1/2" roll core (other sizes can be
manufactured) until loop and 1" of puller remain. Holding the Roll Puller
stationary, pull the ring back locking the teeth into the core. Tug on the rope or chain
to make sure the puller is set and will not come out of the core.
3 - For Multiple Roll
Pullers, attach short chains to the Roll Pullers and a heavy steel
"O" ring. Attach a 50' to 60' rope to the steel "O" ring. We recommend
at least a 3/4" or 1" diameter 8,000lb. minimum pull rope (twice the weight
required to pull 21 rolls of fabric). Depending on the weight to be pulled, a stronger
rope may be required for heavier rolls.
4 - Pull on the rope with
available equipment (forklift, endloader, pickup truck, etc.) For safety, all personnel
should stand clear in case the rope breaks.
5 - When the fabric is
unloaded and line is slack, remove the Roll Puller by pushing in the ring to
release the teeth from the core.
6 - When Multiple Roll
Pullers are used, rolls can be pulled in stacks or groups. 2 pullers / 2-6 rolls, 3
pullers / 3-14 rolls, 4 pullers 4-15 rolls, 5 pullers / 5-21 rolls. 1,2 or 3 rows (in
height) of fabric can be removed with one pull depending on product weight. In pulling
multiple rows, excess weight may cause the Roll Pullers to pull the cores from the
rolls. Past experience using 5 Roll Pullers, a maximum of 2 - 3 rows (14 - 21
rolls) of 4oz. fabric may be removed on one pull. This may vary, based on each
manufacturer's product.
7 - If the
cardboard cores appear to be partially pulled out of the fabric, reduce the number of rows
and weight on top of rolls being pulled. Most manufactures wrap fabric tightly and/or glue
to the core. If the cores are not wrapped tightly and/or glued, the Roll Puller
will pull them out. This is not the fault of the Roll Puller but the fabric manufacturer.
Check your fabric rolls for loose cores before using the Roll Puller.
